Quote the whole delivery route
For a Tanzania project, distinguish the arrival port or terminal from the final farm. Give the supplier and logistics provider the actual destination and access constraints. Ask where the quoted transport responsibility ends. A port quotation and a farm-delivered quotation cannot be compared without identifying inland transport, unloading and handling separately.
Connect storage to the feeding plan
State whether feed arrives in bags or bulk and show where it will be stored. Ask how it reaches the feeding lines, who supplies the connections and what clearances are needed. If future feed machinery is planned, show its intended position so today’s silo or storage arrangement does not obstruct the next project stage.
Prepare the receiving site
Before agreeing a shipment window, review unloading equipment, covered storage and the installation sequence. Ask for package dimensions and weights so the receiving team can plan handling. Confirm who counts the materials against the packing list and which components must remain protected until assembly.
