Can new equipment fit an existing poultry house?
That decision requires a measured survey and a project-specific layout. Floor area alone does not establish the usable equipment space. Existing columns, roof structure, door positions, level changes and service routes can affect the arrangement. Provide drawings and photographs before asking a supplier to confirm a configuration.
Measure the constraints, not only the outside walls
Record internal length and width, clear height, column spacing and door openings. Mark existing plant, electrical panels, water connections and discharge points. Show the routes for bringing equipment into the house. Ask the responsible designer to review structural conditions and any proposed building alteration. Equipment selection is not a substitute for a building assessment.
Map material and service routes
Trace feed delivery, drinking-water supply, manure discharge and egg handling where relevant. Check where conveyors or pipes pass through walls and where operators need access. Photograph both ends of each route. Identify components that will remain, items to remove and interfaces that require verification. Do not assume existing motors or controllers are compatible with the replacement equipment.
Plan the installation window
Explain whether other houses will stay in operation and how access will be controlled. Agree the removal, cleaning, delivery, assembly and commissioning sequence with the responsible teams. Ask which checks must be completed before stocking the building. Avoid committing to a fixed installation duration before the survey, equipment schedule and site responsibilities are agreed.
Prepare a decision-ready enquiry
Send a numbered photo set, the measured drawing, the production requirement and the intended installation window. Ask for a proposed layout with explicit assumptions and exclusions. Compare the cost and practical implications of retaining equipment against replacing it. Keep the final design, utility requirements and acceptance checks in the written project scope.
Discuss your project with IXORTA
Send your equipment requirement, destination and project timeline. IXORTA can review project configuration and export support from Türkiye. The final written offer must define the technical and commercial scope.
